[ Having a swing through the city. ]

@NeighborhoodWebs [ There he is! That mysterious guy dressed in blue and red tights she’s seen a few times now!

It was just a wonder how someone could propel themselves through the air like that. Was science really this far ahead?

Stephanie was on the city bus when this was happening, currently on her way to the postal office with a notebook in hand and a pen under her top lip. She’d instantly stopped everything she was doing to watch him go. He must’ve felt so free.

Free from this life. ]

@cloneof616 [ He certainly wishes he felt free. Swinging was always the best way he knew to clear his mind, even despite the constant calculations he has to make to do it properly, but it just wasn’t working today.

In the middle of swinging he turned to Stephanie’s bus and gave the people riding a peace sign, knowing some undoubtedly noticed him. Maybe he could at least make them smile.

He certainly needed a reason to about now. Maybe a villain to punch or something… ]

@NeighborhoodWebs Maybe her awe was too in the way or she was still underdeveloped with her emotions. Without a doubt, most other people around her pointed and smiled and gave large sweeps of their hands through the windows.

Stephanie was incredibly fixed on this man's very being as became close enough to inspect. The mask, the webbed stripes..

She just had to figure him out!

Right on cue it seemed, trouble manifested.
-

@NeighborhoodWebs "Hey! What's puny, red, and squashable?"

The booming voice came from Alexander O'Hirn, AKA Rhino - a huge burly man covered in a skin layer of what appeared to be stone with a large horn protruding from his forehead. In one motion he'd pulled an empty car from the busy street and chucked it in Spider-Man's direction! Unfortunately, this was also in the direction of the bus.

"I'm sure Spider-Man is about to find out!" Came another voice.
-

@NeighborhoodWebs
Another man who'd materialized from sand - Flint Marko - was in on the trouble too.

As people began fleeing their vehicles, it became very clear that even with the bus driver still aboard, that bus wasn't going anywhere.

"Stay calm everyone!" He called to the people in their seats as mass panic spread like wildfire. Of course, no one was going to listen when a car was flying right at the bus. It was a mess. Pushing and screaming and finally, squishing out of there
-

@NeighborhoodWebs was everyone except Stephanie who was too stunned to become a part of the hysterical crowd. She waited until everything was clear and went to leave, but something gripped her. Was it trepidation? Was it because the two men had come that much closer to the bus and that on its own kept her from leaving? That metal contraption could not keep her safe, but her rationale wasn't working at the moment.

All she could hear was her heartbeat, fast and loud and tense.
-

@NeighborhoodWebs If she fleed, would she be fine? Or would she be in the way? These questions kept her glued to her spot in the middle of the isle like a deer in headlights.

@cloneof616 Spider-Sense going crazy. And he recognizes that booming voice and meatheaded opening line. β€œRhino! Hey buddy, nice of you to drop by! But your manners--”

In an instant, he leapt over the projectile car, webs latching onto the roof. As he landed back on the ground, his good old spider strength let him pull the car out of its momentum towards the bus, and with a good yank he sent it flying back at the villain.

β€œ--they could use a little work!”

The other voice registered in his-

@cloneof616 -ears as the car slammed back in Rhino’s face. He’s suddenly kind of feeling like this is karma for wishing he had a villain to punch. Parker Luck strikes again.

β€œOh, Flint! Cool. You’re here too, that’s so awesome!” He thwipped past Sandman’s oncoming sand attacks, landing on Rhino’s back. β€œCan you guys tell I’m being sarcastic? Sometimes I feel like it’s hard to denote tone in the middle of a fight.”

Rhino must have been getting sick of Peter’s quips, as he grabbed him by-

@cloneof616 -the leg and tossed him into the air. His web lines caught him though, allowing him to swing back towards the villains to continue their brawl.

@NeighborhoodWebs It was like watching a car crash, or better yet, a dance. Stephanie couldn't look away if she tried.

Smack!

Something had fallen in front of her. Her senses had returned and she looked down to find her notebook lying face down. Did she drop it just now? Reaching down and collecting it into her arm again, the woman at last attempted to navigate her way off the bus.

The ground shook violently from all around. Hulking stomps from Rhino were the cause of the turbulence.
-

@NeighborhoodWebs "I don't needs no manners!"

Someone was grumpy. He leaned forwards and charged infront of all the cars, each one becoming a projectile as his horn struck them.

Maybe she was crazy. Stephanie watched everything go down from the sidelines around the corner of a building. Her fascinated gaze soon replaced her fear. He was fighting back against those brutes like a 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘰. Only in books did she see things about heroes, never considering that they could be real.
-

@NeighborhoodWebs He was an airborne ballerina, swaying and maneuvering himself with movements so light and attacks so heavy. 'Spider-Man' was his name?
