New Commander Play show idea where every episode features suboptimal decks themed around a pop culture, artistic, literary or historical reference.

For example, a Studio Ghibli game with Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Spirited Away.

Or the Romantic poets, but I don't know how to design something that denotes them sleeping with everyone and everything including their half-sister.

@kilnfiendpotter Haha, that's the kind of decks I usually play. I actually made a Totoro deck a while back with a lot of green Kamigawa cards. It was really bad, but very flavourful. :)
I also love theming decks around philosophical concepts (for example Thomas Hobbes' conception of the natural state or Plato's realm of ideas).

@kilnfiendpotter I almost did this with some friends where we had to make decks around video games that would NEVER get universe beyond stuff. Decks were twisted metal, hollow knight, dishonored, and binding of issac.

The project fell through but every now and then I still make the decks because I think it’s fun to commit to bit that much. Recently I made a deck where every single card (except commander and some cards I forgot) is a 80s song.
