Honestly if been thinking the same thing myself. That feeling will likely come back some when it’s showed off again and it’s actually available to purchase, but I’m just not super interested in the Vision Pro right now. Even if I scrape together the $3,499+ it’s going to cost, I’m still not sure how I would even use it day to day.

If the Vision Pro was available to purchase as soon as it was shown off I’d almost certainly have found the money and justified the expense. The further away from the presentation I get, however, the less interest I have. Aside from how sick it makes me feel, I hate wearing the Meta Quest. It just feels restrictive hanging off my head. I also don’t want to do *any* of the things Apple demoed you could do in the thing.

I’m just thinking about how I use computers, fwiw.

My day job is 8 hours every weekday. No headset for that since I can’t use personal devices (besides, are Figma and web apps going to be awesome in it? I doubt it right now.)

After work I hang out with my wife or see people. I use my phone/computer, but wouldn’t use the headset with other people around.

Honestly all I can think of are the couple hours I wake up early on weekends and watch a movie or two. That’s something, but not a ton.

@matt I just had a funny picture in my head of someone sitting on a couch wearing a Vision Pro, they’ve fallen asleep during the movie they’re watching and they wake up suddenly at 2am feeling all disoriented and unable to see anything.

Seriously though, for me, being able to have functionally unlimited screen real-estate wherever I’m working is the killer feature of something like this. The entertainment uses are just a side benefit.
