I made the mistake of looking at Twitter and there is more MtG drama than I can handle right now.

Uh, who wants to make cookies? Cookies anyone?

@kilnfiendpotter can you TL;DR this? I saw people saying “don’t be knobs” but so missed the initial knob-post
@Kathleen_LRR @kilnfiendpotter people are complaining about the ambassador program as though they’re the ones making decisions at wizards about prices pretty much

@sibwow @Kathleen_LRR I've also seen some allegations (without naming any names) being thrown around about the reputations of several Ambassadors.

In another timeline, I would investigate. But from where I'm sitting, the situation looks like it's led by a lot of jealous folks who don't understand how corporate marketing works.

Being a corporate ambassador/representative is all about selling product. It's not a reward for content creators.

@kilnfiendpotter @sibwow @Kathleen_LRR Is it bad that—I guess because I don’t look at Twitter—I have literally no idea what an “ambassador” is, in this context?

I have no clue. Feels like I should know.

@Graham_LRR @kilnfiendpotter @sibwow @Kathleen_LRR It's WotC's newest community creator engagement-thing - people got chosen as ambassadors and they get early spoilers so they can make content to be ready right at release.
@jrandomhacker @Graham_LRR @kilnfiendpotter @sibwow @Kathleen_LRR So obviously if you have no idea what this is, LRR isn't an ambassador, but it sounds like this is just giving other people the chance at the type of relationship you already have with WotC? With the ppr and whatnot? I think?
