I’d go for single mode, since it’s usually the same price, if not cheaper.
You’ll probably need a fiber splicing machine and a couple of splice boxes in both ends.
TheHolmOr just call a guy to do splicing. It is no longer elite job ( apt least in AU). They not charge more than electrician these days.
