I joined SAG in 1959, a member for 64 years.

In 1960, Ronald Reagan led the call for an actor’s strike. He riled up a meeting at the Hollywood Palladium shouting “Strike, strike, strike!”

I voted for the actors’ strike authorization this June and support the WGA.

We're in solidarity.

@georgetakei Then in 1981, Ronald Reagan went on to fire nearly 12,000 air traffic controllers, and re-hire new ones, to break a strike.

Those new ones are now retiring, which is one of the causes (in addition to COVID-related training backlogs) that we have a shortage and tons of flight delays and cancellations.
