@carmwilson As Dutchies, when we speak or write English we often are kinda literal

Don't try this stuff on Dutch people since we WILL COME

@stux @carmwilson
So mexicans are more like that, and we're mostly not introvert, just don't give a damn about your time 🤬 (I do hate this, really).
@stux @carmwilson Dutchies willl interpretered such behaviour as being unrealiable instead of introvert.
@carmwilson for the last two I'd say more 'I'll struggle, panic, and not come'

@carmwilson One of my personal favourites:

Question: Do you want to go to the beach?
Answer: That sounds like a great idea.
Implication: Enjoy yourself without me.

/cc @stux

@carmwilson The best description I've seen of introversion—my brand of it, anyway—was "I don't want to go, but I want to be invited."

@carmwilson alt-text - you can copy it and paste into your picture's caption if you want:

The Secret Language of introverts

"Maybe I'll come" - I'm not coming

"I'll let you know" - I'm not coming

"I'm not sure yet" - I'm very sure l'm not coming

"I'll tryand come" - I won't try anything

"I'll think about it" - I won't think about anything, I'm not coming

@noodlejetski Thank you - I am brand new to Mastodon and still trying to get the feel of the platform 💡
@carmwilson no problem! alt text has been a significant part of Mastodon's culture, and there are many folks out there (including myself, to a degree), who are reluctant to boost images without one.
@carmwilson for me, "I'll think about it" is the only one that means what it says. I still probably won't go, but I'll definitely think about it.
@carmwilson I’m not sure about that last one. As an introvert I do think about the fact that I’m not coming.
@carmwilson @boby_biq Not fond of this meme. I’m introvert and when i say I’ll think about I truly will. Usually I kinda want to go but I’m not sure if I have the energy or I’ll be too exhausted by it.
@carmwilson
I confess, my responses resemble that list.
@carmwilson Yup, pretty accurate description of me.
@carmwilson Hmmm, and we should like this behaviour? Why?
