That was everything I hoped and dreamed.

T'Pring's whipped father! Spock going off on Sam Kirk for being annoying! Spock laughing like an idiot at Ortegas's joke. The look on Amanda's face when Pike said "charades"! Uhura and Ortegas telling Chapel to admit she loves Spock! Spock finally telling off T'Pril! Spock and Amanda in the transporter room! Chapel saying, "I dunno, shut up"!

Also, I don't know what T'Pring was mad about, Spock not telling her made total sense if she had to mind meld with T'Pril during the ceremony!

@strange_new_words it was so much fun wasn't it? I felt for T'Prings father, that guy just wanted to eat more of Pikes food!
For me, I felt probably T'Pring already felt like Spock has this life on Enterprise that she didn't get to share in and when a big thing happens that could have such an impact he still leaves her out but has all his crew involved? From her perspective she accepts all of Spock but he won't let her in so I see where shes coming from.

@trekfanrick You're totally right, he should have told her. But also he wouldn't have needed to deceive anyone if she weren't requiring him to try to impress her racist mom rather than standing up for him.

@strange_new_words true, there are some deeply disturbing implications of this and the adherence to tradition and ritual being more important than calling out her racist bullshit.
Some Vulcans need to have a word with themselves. (Did appreciate that T'Prings mother's final speech echoes the Science Council's backhand acceptance of Spock in the 2009 movie)
