I finally took a swing at the Big Boi in the Blooded kit. Definitely rough going in the middle of painting him. His claw felt too red until I used Nuln Oil to tone it down. The eyes brought it all together for me. I think he turned out pretty well! Let me know what you think!

Paint job is potentially a little gross (chaos mutant, so gross dead looking skin) so marking pics as sensitive.

@corpocracy You did a really good job of capturing a denim feel on those pants. Mini looks rad.

@Fruan Thanks! I've been embracing "slapchop" and using contrast style paints more. Attached is the "before" pic. The pants are just Space Wolves Gray contrast paint.

Glad you like it!

@corpocracy
This has gotta be one of the most unique Kill Team minis.
I’ve considered getting the Blooded just for that one.

Looks really good!

@metalingus
Everytime I look at the spikes coming out of his body, I just wonder if he can stand straight, haha. It is such a cool mini.
@corpocracy Unless they’re only mounted to those metal pieces, he probably has a real bad back ache.
@corpocracy How do you get the faded effect on the jeans?

@Thatguyw3s

So, I explained above to Fruan that it's Space Wolves Gray contrast over white dry brushed on black primer. I also did a pass with white airbrush. I will say, that the white bits of the "undercoat" came out a little pebbly in places due to the airbrush. I think that definitely adds to the jeans look!

@corpocracy Thanks, I'll have to try that. Apologies for making you repeat yourself.
@Thatguyw3s
Oh, no problem at all! It made me think a little more about it, because I don't think it was all the contrast paint. The undercoat really does help to sell the effect. Happy accident!
