Correction: It was Apollo 10. Dad developed his roll of film in December. // @dgoldsmith

My parents were at the launch of Apollo 10 in May 69 and I just got a film scanner on Prime Day.

These were from slides. My Mom and Dad took these. #Photography #Space #SaturnV

@jan I’m pretty sure this is another Apollo mission, not Apollo 12. I was at that launch, and conditions were low overcast and rain (Apollo 12 famously was struck by lightning a minute or two after the launch). I distinctly recall the rocket disappearing into low-lying clouds within seconds after liftoff. This video from NBC matches my recollection of the conditions and what it looked like: https://youtu.be/Qc3WwwlxXjc
Launch of Apollo 12 (NBC)

The launch of Apollo 12 - November 14th 1969. Onboard are astronauts Pete Conrad (CDR) Richard Gorden (CMP) and Alan Bean (LMP).

@dgoldsmith I'll double check with Mom. 😈

@dgoldsmith FANTASTIC!

Mom recalled that she and Dad were at home for Apollo 11. BUT! She was there for Apollo 10!

I’m fixing the toot! Thanks!
