how come it would cost me less to buy a bottle of resin and a Elegoo mars than it would cost to get a full set of kalih choc switches and keycaps. Are there better cheaper options anywhere?

Instead of resin printing them yourself, check out JLCPCBs offerings. I use a version from sporkus: github.com/sporkus/…/Choc

Check out lowprokb.ca. Their excellent sunset switches are on sale right now. They have other choc switches, too. And they ship from Canada.
