As I wait in the ANA Lounge at Narita airport I'm reminded of how airports and airplanes are a microcosm of the way social class operates in our world.
@jwtraphagan Prisons and jails are also microcosm of how world operates in a very compressed way. Think of international borders as prison walls and authorities as shift officers. They have hierarchies, wars, gangs, groups, competition and cooperation, ethics and rituals.
@dmitryro This has absolutely nothing to do with my post. I was talking about class and how it's so overt in relation to thing like lounges and seating. If you can fly business/first class, you live in a different world from everyone else.
