@Ardubal @lfe Indeed ... I can't ever remember anything like that in other languages I've had to use (usually for work). That includes the good ones like Rust and Clojure.

(I won't even go into the long, long list of bad ones ...)

@oubiwann @Ardubal @lfe From my experience, #golang is also good at backward compatibility. Stuff released 7 years ago still works without any changes.
@orsinium @oubiwann @lfe Yeah, well, Common Lisp code from 30 years ago /typically/ just works.
