Been curious about the age distribution of Mastodon users.
Internet polls are known to be the most reliable method for any such estimation.*

*Trust me, I went to grad school in statistics.

@jetton This poll goes nicely with https://mastodon.art/@jsstaedtler/110691862189475706
(where the age ranges are on the lower end)
so assuming both get similar distributions of incoming people, this would fill out the information nicely

Attached: 1 image Results of the Fediverse user age poll: https://mastodon.art/@jsstaedtler/110668308409683502 There was a surprising 35,118 votes (I was not prepared for how far it spread). But even more surprising: Only 2% of respondants are under 18. That's what I mainly wanted to measure, and I did not expect it to be so low. Two percent?? I feel bad for you guys, surrounded by old folks ๐Ÿ˜ฐ I tried to set the other options generationally: Gen Z adults, Millennials, then everyone else. Well... "everyone else" won! (cont'd โคต๏ธ)

@20kdc
I was looking for this. This is the poll that gave me the idea since it maxed out at 40+. I thought we need a poll with more relevant categories.
