I know that on a individual level, it often feels like your efforts don’t mean much but even a statistically significant change is enough to make people notice.

(Typically, a statistically significant p-value is 0.05 or 5%. Presumably, any decent analytics team is going to pay attention to a 5% change).

You may be an individual, but if you can be a part of just 5% of people who stop buying from a business - you’re more likely to be heard. 🤔

5% of Netflix’s 232.5 million subscribers worldwide amounts to 11,625,000.

5% of Disney+ (including Hulu & ESPN) 161.8 million worldwide subscribers is 8,090,000.

I can’t seem to find numbers for Prime & AppleTV but I assume they’re around the same amounts.

But my point is, imagine how streamers like Netflix, Apple, etc would react to 5% of subscribers cancelling because of their treatment of writers?!
