looks like Petanque Pro for the Wii has Python embedded in it as a scripting language.

Sometimes I learn the most unuseful things

this is another game that doesn't believe in folders.
218 files in the root folder
NASCAR 2011 - The Game seems to make heavy use of sqlite.
Raving Rabbids - Travel in Time has a lot of mentions of MySQL, which... oh no
Just Dance 2014 has twitter integration, which is presumably broken now
Repetto Paris Ballerina has a trojan in it!?
yeah it includes a file named "compil_win32.exe" and it triggers my virus scanner.
@foone this whole thread is gold
@foone what year is it from ?
@foone I was on sabbatical in 08…but up to 2007 kept finding factory fresh PCs preloaded with spyware and malware …was wondering if your find was that same wave …started in 2001

@foone
Probably! 2010-2014 and the PlayStation 4 era was a bit of a golden time for sharing your gaming adventures on Twitter and Facebook, but they sort of broke all that due to malice and greed.

It’s a real shame. It felt nice and share your achievements.

@foone oh no - why are you looking into this 💀
@foone organizing files, imagine that, that's for losers.. /sarcasm (my file system is a mess)
@foone programming brought to you by adhd
@Omen @foone I probably have ADHD and use folders when programming some languages, but not C++. For C++ everything goes directly into "./src"
@foone folders are imaginary, really it's all on the same disc, right?
@foone wii python.. i wonder what version it would have. i'm guessing a 2.x version.
@foone that's…interesting at least, if not of any practical use
@foone TIL there's a Pétanque game for the Wii
Every time @foone posts, despite everything being a fascinating adventure into cursed computer archaeology
@foone I have to wonder how many different, independent forks of Python were made for consoles where it would be illegal to upstream them
