@jlsigman It was my first FF so I wasn't sure if it would hold up to my nostalgic memories, but when I replayed the HD remaster a few years ago it was even better than I remembered. It is really among the best FF has to offer

@anarchaeopteryx A friend of mine 20 years ago bought me a PS2 because she said I had to play it. As a pastor's kid who lived that "be the best because of who and what your parent is" life (to the detriment of my mental health), it was absolutely perfect. I was Yuna, I knew exactly why she did everything she did.

@jlsigman I think that theme of trying to live up to your father's expectations, coming of age as a teenager and trying to find your own path is always going to resonate. I thought Tidus was kind of annoying and whiny as a teenager but as an adult I see right through him and appreciate him a lot more.
