What are your favourite books, any genre! - Lemmy.world

I’ll start, for the moment mine are - The Secret History by Donna Tartt [https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/29044] - All Systems Red by Martha Wells [https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/32758901], and the series itself - Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff [https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/56269205] - The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller [https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11250317]

East of Eden, hands down. That said, it’s hard to explain why (a short description of this book will always sound dull and boring)—I suppose it’s the character development. It’s truly something else.

Anna Karenina, but not because of Anna (she’s kind of a dickhead); because of Levin. So good.
