I just asked #ChatGPT to summarize a chapter of one of my © books that has never been made publicly available by me on the internet.

It provided a summary that could not have been produced without access to the original text.

#OpenAI is illegally violating my copyright.

@ASegar not trying to defend OpenAI in any way here, but would it be possible that ChatGPT is simply regurgitating an actual summary made by someone else publicly ?

@nicolas_noble I chose a boring chapter from my book that, as far as Google knows, no one has ever summarized publicly. The book was frequently mentioned on pirate sites, and that's probably where OpenAI or a contractor scraped it from.
