So good to be at #iamcr23! The opening plenary (in 38° Lyon with no AC 🫠) saw a well-thought out plea by Christian Fuchs for a public service internet, with a shout out to http://bit.ly/psmmanifesto . Fuchs made a short mention of Mastodon as an example of cooperative internet. I don't know what it is but so far few visitors to @IAMCR seem to be tooting on Mastodon, and few talks in the whopping 144p program are about the Fediverse. Is it a case of academia and practice not mixing well?
