Accordingly to these guys https://dataconomy.com/2023/07/11/archive-of-our-own-down-ao3-ddos-attack/
It was Anonymous Sudan, which it almost feels like a joke to hear. This generates me loads of questions. First of all why ao3? There's loads of other pages to attack why this one in specific? Secondly they are a "regional variation" of Anonymous? Do they expect us to just believe it?
Now they seem to have a power trip over a ddos attack? Really? Something that is solvable they act as it would last forever?
Archive of Our Own down: AO3 DDoS attack explained

Archive of Our Own (AO3), a popular website for fan-written fiction, is currently down due to a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS)

@S_H_K Anonymous Sudan reportedly has ties to the Kremlin, as the Wagner group and Russia itself have been attempting to take over Sudan.

Yeah I was reading that awhile ago. It's incredible to think that some years ago most of this shit would have been too stupid to be fiction and now is real. Who the fuck would believe in "Anonymous Sudan"? It's like I slap a Japan flag on my bicycle and call myself "Hyundai Montevideo", is the same level of broken looney logic. But they are fuckin real and dangerous cause they have the funding which is the thing that makes it real. Shit is frightening...
