Joe BIs beehaw still defederated?
jacktherippahThey want to build a walled garden. They’ve defederated 400+ instances. This extreme desire for control is what made me leave beehaw for lemmy.world and I’m not looking back.
I don’t understand why they’re in the fediverse at all. At this point they could just be a phpBB forum.

NullDriveNot just walled garden, but ex-mods from Reddit and other users with similar thinking want to continue abusing moderation and censorship. If I ran an instance, I would defederate them at this point. They should shrivel away.
SSTFI still have my original account there, and check up every so often when I run out of things to read here. I’ve noticed there is seemingly always some new personal thoughts/philosophical self aggrandizing puffpiece thread pinned by the admins there. It’s very strange.
I don’t necessarily begrudge them for being highly curated, but the way the admins have gone about things gives me, it is difficult to describe, perhaps mildy culty vibes is adequate description.
