Is beehaw still defederated? - LemmyWorld

Just wondering tried to upvote and comment on beehaw kept gettin errors

They want to build a walled garden. They’ve defederated 400+ instances. This extreme desire for control is what made me leave beehaw for lemmy.world and I’m not looking back.
I don’t understand why they’re in the fediverse at all. At this point they could just be a phpBB forum.
having the same interface is still cool and as a ml user i can still see their content
Not just walled garden, but ex-mods from Reddit and other users with similar thinking want to continue abusing moderation and censorship. If I ran an instance, I would defederate them at this point. They should shrivel away.

I still have my original account there, and check up every so often when I run out of things to read here. I’ve noticed there is seemingly always some new personal thoughts/philosophical self aggrandizing puffpiece thread pinned by the admins there. It’s very strange.

I don’t necessarily begrudge them for being highly curated, but the way the admins have gone about things gives me, it is difficult to describe, perhaps mildy culty vibes is adequate description.

I’m on here and on there. I like both for different reasons.
