Absolutely. Today it will (most likely) go online for the first time! Our general mission statement can currently only be found on our donation pages (Liberapay, Ko-Fi, Patreon) but those are not the way, it needs to be accessible and on mastodon.de for everyone to see and not hidden somewhere in a thread or stream.

Terribly sorry for this being very messy, the thread was just provisional and the streams were simply because “hey, we’re recording this for documentation purposes anyway, so why not press that other button in OBS too”. Sorry for nothing being accessible yet, every post I write has image descriptions etc. and we always said that MastodonDE is for EVERYONE* that includes people with disabilities, of course.

*it goes without saying that if a platform is for everyone, by definition it is NOT for Nazis, fascists, TERFs, far / alt right, trolls, spam, etc.

We are becoming more sophisticated by the day, currently it’s just two, sometimes three, IT people doing their best. Final MastodonDE will have an awareness team (I’ve already worked on an awareness concept but will invite others to have it checked), many and diverse moderators (currently we have only two people who are fully doing moderation, one of which is a FLINTA) but we need more and more representation.
