@_dmh @jfml #Threads will not federate properly. He should join a smaller instance instead. I recommend joining a #Calckey server.

@ahriboy @_dmh Also lots of people are here specifically to get away from socialmedia made by Evilcorps (I know I am), so lots of instances will (hopefully) defedarate Threads (if they ever actually try to federate).

Yeah, I know. I'm also here because i don't want my social media experience to be dependent on Meta or Twitter, but I am also looking forward to having the ability to actually follow some of my friends who haven't made the leap. My current server is planning to defed threads so I'll have to figure out where I'm moving to or if I want a second account for interacting with Threads folks

@ahriboy Do you know if there's a version which carries the brown and black stripes across to the trans side of the figure? After all, there are black and brown trans people--some of whom have led the struggle! (Thinking of Marsha P Johnson for example)

@ahriboy I have been seeing the "LGB - eliminate the T" push for over a year now. I don't know where it is coming from. I suspect it is an effort to "split the party" so it is easier to take us out in smaller groups, and having us focus on fight amongst ourselves instead of fighting those trying to eliminate all of us.
