#ao3 apparently is under a #DDoS attack, that's causing the downtime. I wonder why anyone would attack ao3, but then I have a feeling that ao3 specifically is under attack recently. AI scrapping ao3 for data to train, several waves of comment spam bots and now this. It's frustrating. Writers are generally treated poorer in fandom spaces anyway, we can't make money, we get fewer interactions, people steal our works to throw it into chatGBT. And on top our main platform regularly gets attacked from all sides, claims like it supports child porn and so on are thrown at it and other bullshit.
Can y'all just leave us fanfic writers alone pls?
