If DeSantis wasn’t such an idiot he could have just kept quiet and waited and been a shoo-in for the VP pick. But he thought his popularity in Florida meant he could compete with Trump. Dude, they may like you but they worship Trump. It’s better this way. The repub primary is going to a shitshow.

It's extremely unlikely to ever have a presidential candidate and VP candidate from the same state. Part of the election strategizing involves picking a VP candidate from some second state, to try to get that state's citizens to vote for their guys.
