Yes, his messaging is good and I wish the national Dems followed his lead. But, just so you know, he's actually a neoliberal who understands that progressive messaging helps him, especially in California, but he also knows that the national winds are blowing progressive. I mean, doing the right thing for the wrong reasons is still better than doing the wrong thing, absolutely. But, just know who he really is before going all in for him instead of for a real progressive. He's of course better than any Republican, but needs to be pushed on the issues (at best). I'd rather we had someone who we could simply trust to make ethical policy decisions.
But yes, all that said, I do agree his messaging is far better than that of other neoliberals, for sure, and I'd like to see more of this nationally.
I love my governor and I voted for him as SF mayor in 2002 when I lived there.
