good news, everyone! i needed to have a critical eye surgery that my extremely good insurance still wouldn't cover, despite it being necessary to keep my sight! the surgeon quoted me at $17,000! out of pocket! so I drove 26 hours round trip to Tijuana and had the surgery with an extremely well-respected surgeon and stayed in a hotel for a whole week and ate ridiculously good Mexican food every meal and still came out over $14,000 ahead! that's how I spent my 4th of July! America and it's health industry can both go die in a fire!
