Taking any recommendations on a UPS for ye olde #homelab. Just had the power flicker and this junk did nothing to stop my equipment from losing power/staying stable. Got a CyberPower EC850LCD and it's just not cutting it. Unsure if it's not enough or the batteries are already dead after maybe a year and a half?
Think I want something that might have a web interface? Really just anything to let me get some insights to how that dang thing is doing, ideally something I can check from a laptop/desktop on the LAN. #homelab
Kinda looking like maybe the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD? Could go smaller, but for not much more, might as well have some possible overhead? PowerPanel also sounds like exactly the thing I need. #homelab

@dolitehgreat No web interface, but I went with this a few years ago after several power flickers made my homelab crazy. Nothing that can keep me online for a long time, but plenty of time to at least power things off nicely.

@dolitehgreat I have the APC Pro 1000 S protecting all my network gear (Unifi router, PoE switch, 4 access points and 3 cameras), NAS, Raspberry Pi’s and Mac Mini and it’s been totally solid. Decent arrangement of outlets on the back and I think it can run everything for about 30 min. I also use the USB connection to tell my Synology to power down if needed. Quite happy with it overall.
@xmetal APC has been coming up a lot in my searches. I'll give this model a look over. Thanks!
@dolitehgreat I have had good luck with small APC units, with a number of power blips (even some I was unaware of) being handled. Never had any kit being damaged since I installed them. Additionally, they regularly self test their batteries and make a lot of noise when there is a problem. On average, I am replacing the 12v batteries every 2years.
@dolitehgreat If the load is constant and not near to full, I’m thinking the latter. I had the same thing happen to a Tripp-Lite 900W UPS. Replaced the batteries and all is well again.
