There's something very comforting and nostalgic about this image. It resonates with me because the first thing I'd always do whenever moving into a new place was to sit in my unfurnished room and play on my handheld. It reminds me of a time when I'd spend my evenings playing mario kart 7 on my red nintendo 3ds, to then most likely wake up the following morning to play tomodachi life or another cutesy niche japanese game. I'd love to own a 3ds again just to play some of my old favorites  

Another fond memory is playing persona 4 golden on my ps vita after moving into my dream home (rip home) 😌😭🫶

@enjru I have many, many pics like this one having moved over 13+ times in the last 20+ years. I know this feeling too well (minus the game console, which was almost always replaced by the work laptop...)
