I have a confession to make: I don’t know how to use Emacs.

@felsqualle I don't know how to use either that or Vi(m) so uh... it's either nano or a GUI editor.

I do a lot of sshfs into remote servers so I can do the latter. :P

@felsqualle m neither an #emacs is cringe...

Only #Stallmanists use that shit!

And #RMS is just bad...

@felsqualle
I've once used Emacs (when I've learned to program Lisp). It was great - and hidden gems like the text adventure really where funny 🙂

But now I've completely forgotten how to use it.

In the UNIX computers of old the first available editor had been vi, Emacs was only available if installed extra. So as a sysadmin I had to learn vi, anyway. And my muscle memory keeps only one set of commands. Luckily vim is rather compatible with my muscle memory (even if it does not contain a full text adventure)
