Whoa! Using Instapaper, I wanted to copy “selectmenu” so that I could paste into caniuse.com. I expected “selectmenu” to be what I copied via the popover menu, since it didn’t give iOS native controls.

What I actually copied was very unhelpful: “selectmenu”

Pocket, on the other hand, uses native controls and copied: selectmenu

This may be the only reason I need to stop using Instapaper.

Oh, the left most of these inscrutable icons with their bottom pixels clipped means “copy this word.” Tapping the right most icon that almost looks like an iOS sharrow, then tapping “Copy” from the share sheet results in copying the antipattern.
