In January 2019, the Gmail account Hunter Biden used to contact sex workers took over his iCloud account and ordered all his content for download. The next month, the data on the Hunter Biden laptop was deleted.

@emptywheel Am I missing something? If the laptop deletion was successful in Feb 2019 as this log of messages seems to claim, there should not have been any files on the laptop to be recovered in April 2019. Maybe blocks of data, if it wasn’t encrypted. But not files.

@jpanzer Then they load it back up! With some altered docs.

So. the laptop MacIsaac gets is in fact, Hunter's laptop, but also has been doctored.

@emptywheel 🤔 Taking a step back, control of the laptop in this scenario is completely compromised, so there is no chain of custody on this data even before it gets to the computer store.

@jpanzer @emptywheel Also, isn't it illegal for anyone to hack into Hunter's "cloud" and steal the data there? I mean, the whole "computer tech's" story of Hunter abandoning it after a specified date means it's his is fishy enough, but that would not mean he can hack Hunter's "cloud" storage legally, does it?
