Barns[Shams Charania] Just In: San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich – the winningest NBA coach of all-time – has signed a new five-year contract extension with the franchise.
He saw one game from Wemby and decided he wants to stick around a bit more.
Seriously though, every nba fan should be happy to see this today, a league without Pop would not be the same.

I’d say this is a pretty unique deal for a long term coach sticking with a franchise after having brought them success over his tenure while building a culture and training future coaches through their system.
TrippyFocusThink Monty is still a huge outlier. Decent coach, maybe top 1/3 in the league even but to be near pop is crazy.
