Modern Ubuntu is KILLER on old Intel Macs!

@ActionRetro Will it run #HaikuOS without problems? Someone’s gotta find out…
@fabe @ActionRetro In my very limited testing with the live USB, r1b4 boots just fine (in fact, better than on 9th-gen Intel bare metal!), but I can’t seem to find a WiFi driver or how to add an interface for it.
@juanejot hook it up the a LAN, open Terminal and type
install-wifi-firmwares.sh
That should work.

Workshop: Wireless networking

@fabe @ActionRetro Thanks! They download & (apparently) install, but don’t seem to see the bcm4322 either through the GUI network preferences, nor through the CLI configuration instructions listed. The device is seen by the device tree app, the drivers just seemingly don’t apply to use it for the network.
But I AM happy that updates downloaded to the live install media survive reboots; always allows me to try with the latest software!
