Iisn't this the company known to have lied about video's popularity. casually destroying an entire industry?
Rob Fahrni@e_urq I believe that number equates to the number of Instagram account holders who have kicked the tires at least. I did, tried it, wasn’t satisfied with how it worked, and deleted the app from my phone. I’m a user but not an active user.
@fahrni Right, I've heard this criticism, and I'm sure it's true. However, I also think people are believing Meta's number is real at all way too easily. They are known to have lied about a very similar thing before, and as a consequence they shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt, particularly when a number is unusually high and greatly helps their image.
