C’mon ppl.

Right now, #Threads is a giant crazy party, and I’m enjoying it too.

Will it turn into infernal algorithmic adpoop soon? Of course it will. Do I feel a lot more at home on Mastodon? Of course I do. Does the Fediverse have way more potential than anything spawned in Meta hell? Of course it has.

But for now, for goodness sake, let people enjoy #Threads as long as the fun is on.

Already racist, sexist and generally hateful posts were coming from Meta unmoderated, that's why many instances have blocked it, just like any other server that doesn't moderate hate speech.

The "you hate fun" or "it was just a joke" is always a great excuse for racists.

@StephanMatthiesen @gyokusai @sixtus We can only stand against this when we’re are on commercial platforms. When we leave the nszis and homophobia alone, they will grow in their own world. So I’m here and there and can do something against it beside I have fun.

@StephanMatthiesen @gyokusai @sixtus und jetzt noch mal auf Deutsch für diejenigen, die vielleicht kein Englisch lesen mögen. Ich finde diese Einstellung, ein Netzwerk, was wahrscheinlich das größte der Welt werden wird, auszusperren, nur weil dort wie überall auf der Welt im Real life irgendwelche Idioten rumlaufen, null zielführend. ich war Jahrzehnte oft Twitter unterwegs, da gab es die auch manchmal ja und. Gehört dazu und ich hab meinen Mund aufgemacht, wo ist das Problem?

Adapt and destroy. Vorsicht. Ich wäre dafür, Meta mit sich selbst spielen zu lassen. Wenn grosse, ungezogene Rabauken mit den kleinen friedlichen im Sandkasten spielen kommt das selten gut.

Einfach nicht heulen wenn der Sandkasten besetzt und zugemüllt wird.

It should come as no surprise that the lemmy.ml [http://lemmy.ml] admin team took about 2 minutes to decide to pre-emptively block threats / Meta. Their transparent and opportunistic scheme to commodify the fediverse and it’s users will not be allowed to proceed. We strongly encourage other instance administrators to do the same, given the grave threat they pose to the fediverse.
