@oldak @FT Behind a paywall so didn't read, but wasn't it just a simple substitution cypher - easily cracked by frequency analysis?
@mikeday @FT It was quite complex for its time, and included homophones, functions (repeat or delete previous function), glyphs, and iconographs.
