Gotta say, if #Meta were going for a first impression of "Wow I care about literally none of this inane bullshit" then they nailed it.

Thing is, I think that literally IS what Meta is going for -- but you're not in their target audience.

They think this is what their initial base of Instagram users wants. And they may be right...

@bitflipped I think it’s the same there as here. You have to follow enough accounts to fill your feed with a more intentional timeline. They’re working their way to 100 million sign ups. And my borough president is pushing hard to have accounts from our local infrastructure sign up as well. My local news outlets have already all joined. #threads #meta

@bitflipped Yelling at a cloud actually seems appropriate for complaining about social media…but it still needs to be done. There are deeper issues behind the Reddit migration and threads backlash…people are wising up to these clowns.
