I've seen people dismiss the "Foundation" TV show as Asimov fanfic, which it sort of is, but instead of "what if I shipped these characters" it's "what if Asimov cared enough about characters to make them shippable"

Looking very much forward to S2 of Foundation next week. The show just hits on so many different levels than the books. It's a much richer storyline on like almost every aspect.

@arilin Honestly, I feel like the showrunners hit it out of the park — hewing to the ideas and themes of Asimov’s work, but telling a story that can be understood and enjoyed by contemporary television audiences.
