@me @taylorlorenz I've seen it floated that they want to trash the place early, make it fail, to try to help Lord Elon keep Twitter going.

Starting to think maybe that idea has some validity.

And you may have insight: it seems like I'm seeing more "Satanic" labeling out of that disinfo squad lately - I'm wondering if it's part of their new pre-election comms plan, keeping evangelicals emotionally activated over fears of Satan for the next 1.5 years...

1) they absolutely believe it, particularly about LGBT people but by no means just.

It's not new. They've been going off for _literally decades_ internally about Revelations 3:15-16 - absolutely obsessed with it - specifically as applied to politics. For them, it's literally either God or Satan, and they're god, which makes all of us _literally Satan_.

I've been trying to get people to take this seriously for over 20 years because when the fundamentalist movement took over the GOP, they brought this _political_ culture with them.

2) It's all they've got and they know it.

@moira @me @taylorlorenz Thank you for everything you've been trying to do! When Trump immediately moved the embassy to Jerusalem I started to realize how powerful these rapturists are. I still see incredible power in Trump, Bannon, etc. pushing peoples' buttons and keeping them in an acute state of fear against others, making them very easy to manipulate...
