@anildash That is a *brilliant* explanation of how reflexive contrarianism takes root in some people's brains. My father-in-law succumbed to it, as did an ex-friend and just about everyone on Hacker News. By destroying trust in every kind of institutional knowledge, it plays right into the hands of would-be dictators.
