My beloved Ani is not doing so well. His vet appointment today revealed that his heart has enlarged further, and more fluid is backing up.

He was homeless for years. He would have died a long time ago if we had not rescued and medicated him. Still, this little guy brings me so much joy.

Share some good thoughts for him!

@hellerphant it really does. We last lost one just under 2y ago, and have two others that are getting decidedly...creaky. So, watching anxiously there. Have you gotten to have him many years?

@ATurnOfTheNut I’m sorry to hear that. Totally get the anxiety, it is hard to deal with.

We’ve had him for three years now. He has lived a rough life, so I feel like he just started to come out of his shell last year. Hopefully he stabilizes but I guess we will see.

@hellerphant definitely crossing fingers. 3y is nowhere near long enough. Probably half our dogs have come to us as adults over the years, and I always miss that extra time.
