I didn't find any MLP/pony groups in the fediverse yet so I created one at @pony and another at @[email protected]!
How to use these:

1. If you want pony-related content to reach you, follow @pony and @[email protected].

2. If you're posting anything pony-related, mention @pony and @[email protected] in your post!

3. Boost this post to help the groups catch on!

Why bother with this? Groups actively broadcast any content that @mentions them to everyone who follows them. They're meant to be more effective than hashtags (which work passively) at spreading content across instances and work across all fediverse software!

Edit: See responses. I created a second group on a different provider, @[email protected], because chirp.social looks like it's having issues

#group #groups #pony #ponies #MyLittlePony #MLP #mlpg4 #mlpg5 #mlpfim

@Cadance
Oh a group huh, I'm familiar with the @a.gup.pe system, but i see this one is called @chirp.social, just looking at the group bio i can see that it has some differences like what seems to be moderation capacity, interesting! And yeah having a popular group for pones would probably be nice indeed
@pony

@Quilly @pony Yea, I was looking at a.gup.pe too but went with a group on chirp.social because I liked the idea of getting to customize how the group looks.

I'm not sure how well it's working though. Some issues I noticed so far:

1. The avatar I set for the group (visible on its profile: https://chirp.social/@pony) is not showing up here on equestria.social.

2. For some reason, only my own posts that mention the group are getting boosted. No idea why. I tried poking chirp.social's maintainer about it: https://equestria.social/@Cadance/110673903436267980

Maybe @[email protected] would work better? Am trying it with this toot. The "group has no owner" model sits better with me ideologically but chirp.social's groups are aesthetically much nicer, and the fediverse needs nice-looking things. I might mention both for a while.

Princess Cadance (@[email protected])

@[email protected] I created a group on chirp.social, @[email protected], and a few others have been mentioning it but only my own posts have been getting boosted. Can you see why these other posts mentioning the group aren't getting boosted? Example: https://equestria.social/@[email protected]/110673797965025958

Equestria Social Network
@Cadance
I see, yeah, understandable, So let's see what the maintainer there will say right?
@pony @[email protected]
@Cadance
Oh pony@chirp boosted my last post there, maybe it only boosts posts from people who follow it?
@pony @[email protected]
@Quilly @pony @[email protected] Hmmm. That's counterintuitive but may explain it? I wonder if the other people who made some posts mentioning the group did so before they followed it.
@Cadance
Two other posts i did later weren't boosted tho, it's probably not that then...
@pony
@Cadance
Oh, it didn't boost this one tho, so probably is not that
Hmm
@pony @[email protected]

@Quilly @pony @[email protected] I edited the OP to mention both groups. That'll get things out to the most people!

To anyone following @pony who sees this, please follow @[email protected] as well!
