Playful indie dance pop from Brazil. They sing in both English and Portuguese, but I prefer their English songs because I find the accent to be charming. Like the way she says “wanna” on this track.

It’s simple, dance party music made with joy and no pretense of being musically complex. For fans of Bis, Ting Tings, or LeTigre.

@Defiance I saw CSS open for Sleigh Bells back in 2011 and became an instant fan. On that night, Lovefoxx wore an outfit consisting of jeans shorts, black stockings, and a teeshirt reading "#1 Grandma"—a stunning ensemble. "Music Is My Hot Hot Sex" is an all-time fave.

@donutage What a great show! Those two bands fit perfectly. I see Neon Indian was the other band, right? So cool you got to see that. Sounds like a great time.

@Defiance It was pretty great, though I don't remember the first opener. I described the Sleigh Bells set to a friend at the time as an "unrelenting sensory assault" (unbelievably loud bass, piercing guitar riffs, and blinding back-lighting). Exhilarating, but the fact it only lasted 40 minutes was honestly a bit of a relief.

@donutage LOL. I can kinda relate. I love music, and live music especially, but so many bands I've seen played so loud I was relieved when the show was over. I also learned to wear ear protection quickly.
