I'm new here - I joined a while back, but only gave The Heffalump a serious try starting in the past few days.
I couldn't make peace with the Mastodon app, and am now dithering back and forth between Tusky and Fedilab, which cost me two and half bucks.
I like Tusky. This toot I'm composing on Fedilab, which appears to offer direct access to more of the critter's features.
Thinking I may have found a home. Maybe.

I have emojis available when I type. I'm using the app called Tusky on Android. If you don't have it you can download it free. No ads. It's a little rougher on the edges than Twitter at its best, but it's pretty decent.
I don't have my gifs. I don't have my hat tip, which annoys me. Oh well.
