I don't know where you live, but I'm in the imperial core of the west. Unionizing workplaces is one way to weaken the power of capital here where it's strongest. Though we are part of the "labor aristocracy," any bit we can chip away from the owning class is another chip they cannot weigh down upon the oppressed and colonized periphery or "third world."
