StealthBadgerSo I'm trying to figure out which milestone I'm at. Which was a better example of me becoming an old fart: refusing to get into mobile gaming, refusing to use my phone for social media, or refusing to get into Threads at all?
Abbynormal0ne@StealthBadger if I do threads, I'm creating a new insta. No way in hell I'm tying my normal instas with it. I don't want those people following me, and if I delete threads, I don't want to lose the perfectly good insta tied to it.

@StealthBadger I'm not the HUGEST fan of how much more info it opens up to Meta either, including your health and fitness information, but maybe I'll wait until it can interact with the fediverse

anubis2814@StealthBadger Threads takes pretty much all the same info as Insta, new laws have been passed in several countries so they are just being more transparent about it. I was under the impression that it would let me follow people's instagram from the fediverse. Not even remotely the case so I no longer care. None of my friends want to move to a new platfrom be it mastodon or threads so The point is moot for me.
