More than a dozen King’s Counsel lawyers donated to Ontario Attorney General Doug Downey

>Attorney General Doug Downey’s office denied there is any connection between the donations and the decision to award the King’s Counsel honour.

"Just because they gave me cash and then I made them KCs was just a coincidence.
