Okay, so I’m just going to say it. I’m liking Threads. There are a few things it definitely needs but one who uses social media for his brand, like me, cannot deny the fact that Threads is going to be where people are at.

Here is what I am going to need from the app.

1. A following only feed. That’s a must.
2. Hashtags! Another must.
3. Edit threads.

@kylewritescode the first two are coming already (confirmed by zuck), the third one, could be nice but it has to show the previous edits of the tweet (like mastodon).

@kylewritescode It depends, if you’re gonna post the same content on both accounts, then having 2 is pretty redundant.
I already know what I’m gonna do when it comes out in Europe (and federates):
1. Make a threads account
2. Put in the bio that I’m at @eatyourglory and tell people on Threads to follow me there
3. Continue with my life as usual

@eatyourglory Reasonable idea. But, if they do not follow your Mastodon account and only your Threads account, they will not get your content. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@kylewritescode Yes but I will tell them to follow me on my Mastodon account.
Also, I’ll just make a script that reposts everything I do on Mastodon to my Threads. As easy as that. (This idea of the script just came in my mind from nowhere)
